Interview with 2025 Createability Intern, Anna del Rosario

PSpace is a proud host organisation of the Createability Internship Program which supports creative practitioners with disability or who are d/Deaf. We spoke with 2025 Intern, Anna del Rosario about her experience during Liveworks.

Tell us a little about yourself

I’m Anna del Rosario, a designer, music producer, and now, thanks to PSpace, an event producer.

Why did you apply for the Createability Internship?

I realised that I wanted to professionally transition into event production and programming after years of doing it for fun, and saw the perfect opportunity with the Createability Internship from Create NSW. I was then acutely aware of PSpace’s work with the Liveworks Festival, and performance art was adjacent to my work as a music producer and performer. They were one of two organisations I’d nominated to intern for, and am so grateful to ultimately have been placed with Performance Space.

"[I enjoyed] just the way that the team worked: with trust, accountability, openness, and a collective passion for supporting the arts. "

- Anna del Rosario

What did you enjoy most during your Internship?

Just the way that the team worked: with trust, accountability, openness, and a collective passion for supporting the arts. Everyone had their own sets of responsibilities and there was a collective trust that you would do your part to fulfil them - but at the same time, the rest of the team is ready to help and support if needed!

What skills did you gain from this internship?

The biggest one was quick decision-making. Festival planning was such a dynamic environment that I quickly learned certain decisions didn’t need rumination. Another one was asking for help. (lol!) Coming from really different professional environments/team dynamics in previous jobs, more than learning to ask for help, I also had to unlearn the tendency to solo things (and risk delaying processes). It really helped that everyone was so supportive and we ultimately all had one goal, which was to deliver a successful festival.

How would you describe PSpace to a peer/friend/collaegue?

Welcoming, supportive, and appreciative… and they get sh*t done.

Any advice to someone thinking of applying for the program?

Do it!
